Texas is so big, it can be hard for everyone to get together more than a few times a year. What to do between those times? We get together in smaller clusters, dubbed “conferences”.

 

Across the District, folks have been partnering up with their neighbors on an ad hoc basis for some time: Pastors frequently get together for fellowship, mutual encouragement, and the like; sister congregations combine forces to work on ministries in their area. Recognizing the need to connect new member congregations with the informal networks in their area, the Texas District council began the process of formally recognizing these clusters in 2012. To date, we’ve identified five “conferences”, but the District does not exert any sort of over-arching control over any. It’s up to individual members, pastors, and congregations to organize whatever mischief they think best. Are you near one (or more) of these? Contact the conference coordinator to join in.
